As a parent, there is so much you wish for your child but none so important as for them to merely be the “best they can be.” In sports this may come in the form of good sportsmanship,
leadership, or resulting in becoming MVP of the team. When we talk about a high-performance competitive player in any sport, there are hours of work involved. This can sometimes be achieved through practice, hard work, intensive coaching, and even natural abilities and talent. What is always involved though is money…and it never hurts to have some financial assistance along the way.
This is where the USTA/Midwest Tennis & Education Foundation steps in. Part of our mission is to enhance the lives of youth while making tennis accessible to everyone by providing funding in the form of grants and scholarships. A few recipients over the last several decades have even gone on to achieve National rankings: Lauren Davis, Emina Bektas, Caroline Dolehide, Caty McNally, and Rajeev Ram. We’ve recently expanded our awards to include opportunities for young players of all skill levels who want to improve and play in more tournaments. Every day, the USTA/Midwest Tennis & Education Foundation helps youth be the “best they can be” by helping them reach their goals in tennis.
If you know a child who could benefit from financial assistance, please have them check out our grants and scholarships page by visiting www.midwesttennisfoundation.com/apply-for-funding to see all of our grant and scholarship opportunities.
