AMOUNT RAISED AS OF NOVEMBER 30 - $270
The Lincoln Way Area Community Tennis Association (LWACTA) has been providing Midwest Youth Team Tennis, Junior Team Tennis and Futures tennis programming to local park districts for three years. The organization serves nearly 200 players yearly and as numbers continue to grow, LWACTA is exploring new ways to offer affordable local tennis programming. The organization also works with the Lincoln Way Special Recreation Association to bring tennis to developmentally challenged players in the community.
With the goal of keeping programs self-sustaining, funds will be used to purchase additional equipment and t-shirts for those participating in entry level tournaments. Money is also needed to sustain after-school programming and for donations to local school districts in support of athletic programs.
