🛡️ Understanding User Roles
Here’s a breakdown of common roles used on the site:
| Role | What They Can Do |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Full access to everything (users, settings, plugins, content) |
| Editor | Can add/edit/delete posts and pages, moderate comments, manage categories/tags |
| Author | Can write, edit, and publish their own posts |
| Contributor | Can write/edit their posts but cannot publish |
| Subscriber | Can log in and manage their profile (usually not used for admin tasks) |
✅ Tips & Best Practices
- Limit Administrator access – Only trusted users should have this role.
- Use strong passwords – You can generate one automatically in the user form.
- Clean up unused accounts – Regularly audit users to keep the site secure.
- Don’t share logins – Each user should have their own account.
